Overcomers Know that The Redeemer Lives
While we are amid the Coronavirus-19, the news of people suffering in all kinds of ways hurts us deeply to the core of our souls. All the people that have died and is going to die from this deadly virus is the ultimate kind of human suffering. But like Job, an afflicted man of God, we must fight through despair and doubt. Job answered the Lord and said, "I know that you can do all things and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted." (Job 42:1-2) You know, Brothers and Sisters, the world is asking, "Why do we see all this suffering?" At the heart of the book of Job comes his ringing affirmation of confidence: In verse 25 of chapter 19 says, "But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last."
You may be having conversations about why people are dying and suffering today. Do you know that your Redeemer, Jesus Christ, lives today? Jesus can and will rescue us from THIS crisis and despair. Amongst despair, Jesus brings life. "I am convinced that neither death nor life neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
Like Job, we know our Redeemer (Jesus) was more than a spiritual concept; He was a living being who could stand at last on earth. "And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh, I will see God;" (Job 19:26). People are dying from Coronavirus-19, yet we have to be confident that Jesus lives now and forever. "I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!" (Job 19:27) Brother and sisters, we must have bold confidence like Job. "How my heart yearns within me!" Christians are proclamation that our Redeemer lives. Christ is not in the grave. He is alive, and we will see Him. Brothers and Sisters have that steadfast hope to know that there is a day coming, in which all our tears shall be wiped away. Today, live a transformed and overcoming life by knowing that Jesus lives.
God Bless Brothers and Sisters. Happy Resurrection Sunday!
